Zhan Zhuang It 'a good time for my Taichi. I'm training so much, I'm back to enjoy some exercise daily. What sparked all this pleasure?
I think I have an idea ... a couple of weeks ago I decided to take seriously the study of Zhan Zhuang. Basically my idea was, my legs are not strong enough and then I get tired just me stiffen immediately, I have to strengthen your legs and practice which may help me in that most of the Zhan Zhuang?
Surely there are plenty of ways to strengthen the legs, but this exercise as well as strengthen your legs stimulates a lot of awareness of their tensions. So I started every night before going to bed so my legs and slowly strengthen. The thing that amazed me is to note that the arms are weaker in the legs. That is, now I'm a quarter of an hour in zhan zhuang arms but after a few minutes they begin to stiffen, then I let them go and recover them. First of course was the first leg to give up to now are the arms, shoulders. But it's always nice to practice this exercise. I feel like a lot, especially at the beginning, I feel relaxed, very strong legs and torso rilassatissimo. With each breath slowly down with me, and I do not consciously feel that every breath brings me slowly to sink his hips. Then I hear torso and arms stiff, I feel, I notice while it is happening, and this is a great achievement ... then do a deep breath and relax. I can not always, but when I can try again for a while 'the initial feeling of strength and lightness and heaviness in the legs in the trunk. Clearly the more time passes, the less I can do this, and when I can not last forever. But the fun is seeing how after only a couple of weeks, the perception has changed. Now I'm interested in training for his legs and Pong. Stable with the legs I can dedicate myself to the feeling of Pong, to keep it as rigid as possible without arms.
All very beautiful, with every step I wonder what's next, because when your arms will not give me the most trouble will surely something else to be 'true', to be put in place. My
taichi is definitely improved, I feel it because your legs get stronger during the movement can be softer in the upper body. Basically it's easier to concentrate on the feelings of dantyans, the spirals on shen ago ... in fact, strengthen the legs is the first step.
E 'that so many things, with years of practice tend to escape. For a while 'time I have not thought much about the zhan zhuang, practicing a lot you say that the legs are strengthened the same, but now I realize that is not the same thing. Remain stationary and aligned it is more difficult to move, and at the same time gives feelings that are more ... 'Perceived' ... I do not know how to explain it, but there is no need to pay attention to the spiral, the rotation, you just pay attention to the tensions, then it is the breath that leads to 'open' and 'close' Subtly, unless we like to focus. Here's another thing this year is giving me a lot of satisfaction, the feeling of opening and closing.
Now that I'm here in the sixth year of practice I look back and I'm redoing a lot of things I did at the first year, and yet they all taste completely different, it seems to do new things, it just depends on how much you want to 'dig' . On the surface movements are always those, 4 or 5 movements for training Chan Su Jing, Yang 40 form, the beginning of LaoJia Chen, Tuishou ... but every time I enter in this state so I think I feel like doing taichi only during the day, I realize that I spend so much time on a single movement without getting tired and without that movement stops to give me new feelings.
Bah, Taichi this weird stuff, if there had to be invented:)
PS: wow, I just noticed that the last post I had written a year ago ... not bad ... Well, I'll try to keep a faster rate from now on ... type a post every six months? we'll see
