How to win the physical and mental suffering due to spiritual practice (3) How to win

Hello and welcome back / AA this series of lessons drawn from the book of the XIV Dalai Lama "The road to true "edited by Jeffrey Hopkins (ed. Oscar Mondadori, 2009).

Having reviewed the four noble truths of Buddhist thought at the base (applicable to any religious belief ... about have applied the lessons of the first two years ?), Now let us see a crucial aspect of human existence, which is closely related to suffering: hurt. Or better
to have abstained from doing evil .

The essence of Buddha's teaching is summed up in two principles: if you can, help others (and discover how the next lesson), if you can not, at least not harm them (and we'll find out today).

refrain from doing evil is the first step on the road of ethical teachings, to live in peace with oneself and with others.

There are several levels of individual liberation ethics, in essence are:
  • say who lives a normal life at home and not in a monastery
  • who becomes a nun, priest or monaco

The benefits of consistent practice ethics, both secular and monastic, are considerable and are obtained through the principle of content, including:
  1. content of food (not necessarily mean to become vegetarians, because they do not do damage or get physical violence with alcohol or overeating)
  2. settle clothing (prefer the simplicity of avoiding waste of material goods, avoiding buy expensive clothes just to feel better!)
  3. settle the home (and avoid wasting money on sumptuousness in the home)

physical suffering and mental through spiritual practice (lesson 2)

've followed the directions of the first lesson? How gone?
I hope well, if you put into practice the exercises at the end of last week's article!

After referring to the first noble truth, that the various forms of suffering, we move to the other three of four at the base truth of the teachings of Buddha, as described and commented upon by the XIV Dalai Lama on the special book "The Road leads to true (ed. Oscar Mondadori, 2009).

A text that is accompanying me in this with gentleness and early 2011 without any major emotional upheavals, although something deep in my soul is moving even more and will soon open the door of my awareness.

I want to make sure that you, dear reader of this portal may understand my words (which often coincide with those given by the author of the book), according to your perspective, your spiritual point of view! Simply because

Buddha's teachings, through the enlightened spirit of the Dalai Lama, are universal and go beyond the religious beliefs and convictions of every human being .
They are implicit in a process of inner growth, personal development, improvement in body-mind-spirit (call it what you want but we always mean the same thing :-), a path which can be undertaken at any stage of life, by anyone! Through these articles

my goal is not to teach (and renew my displeasure in not having cleared up before this step) how to share and invite people to reflect, to self, a deeper understanding of a subject as "hot "But too often so pervasive in our lives: suffering.

In this second lesson, then we come to the other three truths in order to figure out how to end this "disease" that is able to shake from head to toe and not just the real shock is in ... our guts, our hearts, in the depths of our mind.

How to win the physical and mental suffering due to spiritual practice (lesson 1)

I'm back here.

Ready as ever to face a very delicate issue but definitely felt in the modern era: the suffering.

In the book of the XIV Dalai Lama " The road to true " expertly translated and edited by Jeffrey Hopkins (ed. Oscar Mondadori, 2009), after the basic elements covered in the first part to go to practice real , the ethics, which dissect the four noble truths to the philosophy / religion Buddhist.

The modules described in this section are universal in the sense that any believer or non-believer can benefit from it, in order to answer the question, "why am I suffering?." As introduced in last week's post in this series of articles I want to meditate with you spiritual aspects related to the concept of suffering, pain, closely linked to the soul. This is because I

an excellent job of improving the look and personal growth within themselves and do not stop at the surface only analyzing their sorrows "material." Try the psycho-physical awareness that we often think for but which in reality is far from our true potential.

The key is to Buddhist ethics help other people, and if this is not possible, not cause them harm . The commitment to non-violence is important and today's lesson focuses on individual liberation, which is essential to refrain from violent acts of physical or verbal.

The first step is to abandon the 10 non-virtues (so called by the Buddhists), which are divided into three groups:
  • individuals (murder, theft, adultery)
  • Minutes (lies, slander, insults, gossip)
  • mental (envy, wish to prejudice, misconceptions)
The best way to prevent such potentially offensive actions of the reasons is the control , the stimuli that precede impulsive ' action itself. In essence, when we act without thinking about the possible consequences, in most cases we only make things worse.

For example, when we begin a discussion with someone, if we both do we cry out to pre-submit our arguments, often generate an escalating verbal offensive as dictated by emotions. And worse, right?

To obtain a pure behavior, that allows us to avoid the ten non-virtues (and free of cyclic existence - the Samsara - according to Buddhist thought) we have to analyze and follow the four noble truths the order in which the Buddha has taught. They are:
  1. recognize the various forms of suffering
  2. discover the origins of suffering
  3. see if you can eliminate the causes of suffering
  4. choose the path of practice to stop the suffering
First, we must identify the various forms of suffering, to understand what prevents our life to be completely happy. Recognize what we are suffering we can discover the causes and then find ways to eliminate them!

First Noble Truth: suffering
Suffering is a kind of disease that anyone contracted sooner or later in life. To find the cure we must first evaluate it in its various forms, which are:
  • real pain (physical and mental as headache, abdominal pain, anxiety after a loss, etc.).
  • the pleasure as pain relief (eg food or abused alcohol because we feel alone and sad)
  • pain at a deep level, called "conditioning persuasive" (where mind and body are influenced by emotions that afflict us, such as hatred or greed)
This sacrosanct and noble truth is closely linked to the dissatisfaction - beyond the bank account or medical condition - and the best way to quench it is in starting to settle ...

You know the saying "those who are content has ? Here it is! Paused to reflect on this, as you can. In the next few lessons into the details.

To win you have to understand what suffering is yours, repeating like a mantra that any problems can be overcome and worry (= deal before) often leads to failure.

So avoid despair, think positive, work with perseverance on your soul and your path will begin to glow!

How to win the physical and mental suffering due to spiritual practice (intro)

In these post-festive days I had the opportunity to explore some aspects of my life from the spiritual point of view, thanks to a reworking of a special book that is generating excitement and illuminating reflections on my recent holiday. This
early 2011, according to many experts in the law of attraction, quantum physics, the Mayan calendar and astrological predictions, is the first step of preparation or "change", the "big leap" to take place in 2012.
What jump or change will be sincerely do not and I know no one on earth can know, we'll find out just living ...
What matters to me now share with the readers of PiùChePuoi spiritual evolution that is accompanying me softly in this phase of life, in which up to now are alternate knowledge and experience from the standpoint of physical and mental, from meditation to martial arts, chi kung from writing, from Reiki to my work as a surveyor.
A book is accompanying me on this path of growth, or rather personal inner according to the canons of the Eastern philosophies, which has long study and try to put into practice in daily life .
